HOT LUNCH PROGRAM 2007-2008
Welcome to Egan Hot Lunch
The Hot Lunch Program provides lunches five days a week to students and is a primary PTA fundraiser for Egan. When you order lunch it saves you time and enhances your child's education through your PTA contributions. Many thanks to the parents that volunteer to serve the food. Thank you also to the faculty and staff at Egan. The program could not be successful without your help. We appreciate your support!

New State Guidelines starting Fall 2007:
New this year are state guidelines (PDF download) that specify the nutritional content of the food served and/or sold at school including through hot lunch programs. This is mandated by the state starting in the fall of 2007. We have developed a program that offers tasty and popular meals from local vendors Chef Chu, House of Bagels, Jamba Juice, La Salsa, Le Boulanger, Lukoki, Pasta Market, Spot, Sumo) while still following the new state nutritional guidelines. We have also paid close attention to the surveys received from the students at the end of the year and made changes to the menu that we believe the students will be very happy with. New this year is our partnership with DeMartini Orchard. Each day, we will be providing fresh, whole fruit as part of the lunch. Please download the menu (PDF download) for Egan hot lunch.
New Menu for Session 2 (Spring):
In response to feedback we have received, and to provide more variety, we have added these items to the menu:
- La Salsa: chicken, bean and cheese burrito, bean and cheese Burrito
- Pasta Market: meatball sub, vegetarian chili
- Sumo: California roll w/crab, vegetable gyoza
- Chef Chu's: Chinese chicken salad, vegetable chow mein
Ordering Hot Lunch
All lunch orders must be placed on-line. Using the on-line system eliminates data entry errors and allows us to begin serving lunch sooner. Ordering for the Spring session begins Friday, December 14th, and ends Friday, January 11th.

NOTE: Sorry, we cannot accept late orders and cannot give refunds. Also, if your child misses hot lunch due to illness or a field trip, no refunds will be given. Please consider the missed lunch a donation to the school.
