CLASS SUPPLIES 2007-08
"What will I need for my classes?"
So that students can come prepared on the first day, your teachers have put together the following lists. Most supplies are available at local stores. If you need assistance obtaining school supplies, please see Mr. McClain.
7th Grade Materials
- # 2 pencils (2)
- mechanical pencils (3)
- colored pencils (12 colors)
- 1 red pen, 1 black pen, 1 blue pen, 1 green pen
- white-out
- 2 highlighters in different colors
- A Sharpie
- A scientific calculator
- A pencil pouch to put everything in
- lined paper
- mini stapler
- mini tape dispenser
BINDERS FOR:
- English (one-inch binder with 5 dividers)
- Math (can be shared—just tab effectively)
- Science (you also need a notebook)
- Social Studies
- PE/Health (folder)
- French
- Spanish (plus: one box tissues, one plastic sheet protector, one overhead pen)
- Elective-usually doesn’t need a binder, but Foods has quite a few materials that stay in the Foods classroom, so if you are taking Foods, please check the special course materials list for that class
8th Grade Materials

- Math (Mrs. Massaro’s classes should use a 3 or 5 subject spiral notebook instead of a binder)

Physical Education Attire
- Purchase PE clothes on Schedule Day (week before school starts) or the first week of classes.
- Egan PE shirt and shorts are required
- Egan sweatshirt, sweat pants, and/or tote bag are optional
- athletic shoes that enclose the entire foot, and tie or velcro securely

- mark clothes and bag with black permanent marker (caps: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME or FIRST INITIAL)

Band and Orchestra Requirements
INSTRUMENTS
- Each student enrolled in band or orchestra will need an instrument to play at home and at school. Local music stores rent or sell instruments.
- While most students will carry one instrument between home and school, students who play large instruments (cello, percussion, etc.) may be able to use a school-owned instrument at school, depending on availability.
- Label the outside and inside of instrument case with the student’s name.
- Instruments can be stored in the music room during the day.
- Students whose instruments require reeds or strings should always have extra reeds or strings in their cases.
- Cleaning materials should also be in the case.
- Instruments are not required in class on the first day of school.
MUSIC
- Students will be assigned a school-owned lesson book that will be collected at the end of the year.
- Students will be provided with music throughout the school year and are responsible for its care and return.
CONCERT UNIFORMS
- Students must provide and wear the following for concerts:
- Girls: black dress pants or black floor-length skirt, white blouse, black shoes
- Boys: Black dress pants, white shirt, black socks, black shoes
